Since CNG is cheaper and more eco-friendly, there is big incentive for Americans to start running their cars on natural gas. It’s estimated that there are about 150,000 natural gas vehicles currently in the U.S. But with only 1,500 natural gas fueling stations, fuel might be hard to come by. Cars that run on CNG might also be hard to come by since demand declined for them in the nineties. So unless you find a used CNG vehicle for sale or demand for them increases, availability in America is somewhat slim.
