Can Vitamin C help prevent arsenic toxicity?

It does to a certain extent; vitamin C is used both as a protective nutrient and as part of therapy to defend against arsenic toxicity if ingestion occurs. It is typically used along with other vitamins and minerals including selenium, B-vitamins and magnesium. Dimercaprol can be effective against arsenic in the first twenty-four hours.
