Yes! It’s a sustainable building material, and the tires don’t have to be broken down and remolded to do it – you can use the tires as-is! People have built very comfortable houses out of old tires. Tire houses retain heat very well even during very cold weather, and can maintain a tolerable temperature even in hotter weather. Old tires can also be used for gardening purposes. Time and time again, you hear stories of poeple growing bushels of root vegetables, even all throughout winter, and you wonder how they do it! The answer is tires: because they are such good insulators of heat, certain produce can be grown in them all year around without getting too hot or too cold.
