I know styrofome is bad for the planet I clean it up when I find some careless person has thrown it on the ground but I have stocked up quite a pile and I don’t know the proper way to dispose of it.
A big misconception is that styrofoam can’t be recycled. Though not every place accept styrofoam, some do. By searching “polystyrene” in Earth911.org you can see if there is a recycling service in your area. Another option is to send stryofoam to Alliance of Foam Packaging Recyclers at 1298 Cronson Blvd., Ste. 201, Crofton, MD 21114. There are shipment costs, but a good option for stocked styrofoam. Styrofoam can also be reused in craft projects and such things as fillers in planters to help with draining water.
I say, you have toeather, keep them for hobby, or burn em.
