Stormwater can be recycled for a number of purposes, and is in many cities around the country. Water recycling programs often include stormwater, flood water and irrigation runoff. This water can be reused for purposes such as landscape watering, non-potable household water, and water for decorative city fountains and ponds. Programs vary from city to city, so check with your local goverment as to their efforts to reuse stormwater.
