I assume when you say “deal with,” you mean get rid of. Woodchucks, or groundhogs, are mostly burrowing creatures, and can be a nuisance for someone growing a garden or just having multiple hoes in the ground. Although many of the methods suggested require killing or using poison to rid an area of them, I did find a few that do not use such actions. You can drop some mothballs down their holes to ward them off, or use high frequency noise emitters to scare them away. If that is ineffective, you could use a bait-and-trap method with a cage, but by that point you may be better off getting a professional animal control service to help with the problem.
