Can solar systems on houses generate enough electricity to make a difference in our energy production?

Absolutely yes. Each home solar system generally produces enough energy for all of the house’s needs and many times even produces more than the house needs, routing the energy out into the grid and earning the homeowner credits from the electrical company. If every house in the US had a photovoltaic system on top of their house then the electric companies would only be supplying electricity to companies and business and they production of power needed by those companies would plummet.
