Can a sago (male) be trimmed when the center cone is pollinating

    Yes, you can trim Sago Palms when the center cone is pollinating. You should only remove the lowest and oldest leaves when they are turning brown. Cut as close to the trunk as possible. This will allow all of the plant’s energy to go to the production of new, healthy leaves.
