    Yes, but only for a short period. It usually walks or runs, and it can run up to 20 MPH.

    Road runners can fly, but not for very long distances. This species of bird can’t fly for more than a few seconds at a time, so it definitely prefers to walk or run. The roadrunner can run at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour when it is running at its fullest speed. “Due to its incredible speed it is one of the very few animals that eat the rattlesnake rather than being eaten by the rattlesnake.”

    They prefer walking or running to places and rarely fly. If they do choose to fly its for short distances.
