Can reducing carbon save money?

On a personal level, absolutely. Driving less and using less gasoline will greatly reduce your carbon footprint and save you a lot of money. You can also make the switch to canvass re-usable grocery bags. Plastic bags and paper bags take energy to produce and ship to stores which adds to carbon emissions. Installing solar panels on your home will take you off the grid and allow you to have renewable energy without a carbon impact.

On a more macroeconomic scale, renewable energy is the only possible, sustainable future. Wind, solar, wave, and other renewable energy sources have little to no carbon impact.
