Can properly landscaping our yards help us with animal conservation?

Yes.  You could learn about plants that are indigenous to your area and plant them.  Obviously having indigenous plants in your yard, will give homes and food sources to the indigenous species in your area!

Yes! Native plants will encourage native animals to live in or visit your yard. Be careful when using fabric cloth on the ground; snakes and small mammals can get caught in the mesh as it begins to fall apart!

Also, if there are animals you would prefer to not enter your yard, like snakes, you can place a pile of sticks at the edge of your property. Snakes like this type of habitat and will likely stay in this area.
