Air pollution is known to cause lung problems, increase the chance of asthma attacks, and cause respiratory infections. If you look at statistics, people who live in highly polluted areas feel sick more often than people who live in rural areas because the pollution causes problems with their lungs, causing coughing and headaches from the fumes, which is what many people associate with being sick.
