Can organic facial cleansers still contribute to our problem with water pollution?

A facial cleaner that is organic could potentially still pollute our waters. The ingredients in it may be organic but still may be non-biodegradable. It is important to read the ingredients of beauty products and make sure they do not contain chemicals. A big one to look for are phosphates. These do not break down in our water and travel all the way to our oceans, effecting the wildlife and plants along they way and in the sea. Fake coloring and fragrances can also harm our waterways, so watch for those as well.
