Can the moon be used to make energy?

It sounds slightly surreal but there are actually plans in the works to start profiting from the use of the moon. Currently, the project that seems most attainable for making a profit is the idea of selling information. Information can be provided from the moon for projects such as virtual reality tours, interactive television programs, or remote control lunar probes. All of these things will serve for both entertainment purposes and enducational purposes. Check out the article bellow for more information on these projects and more.

In a roundabout way, since the moon causes the lunar tides, then yes. There are a few power plants that harness the power of the tides to create usable energy. One example is the Annapolis Tidal Station, which utilizes turbines anchored to the the ocean floor which, convert energy from the tidal flow into electricity.
