Can a magnet be used to attract anything in nature?

Nope!  A magnet can only be used to attract certain metals, like iron and nickel.  Magnets repel some substances like water and plastic, and, of course, magnets can repel each other.  For more information on magnets, start with the article in the citation, and check out the references for more magnet resources.
