No, seeds have a limited but very long potential life span. Recently archaeologists found a 2700 year old tomb with marijuana stored next to the deceased. Seeds found in this stash were taken and attempted to germinate in laboratory conditions, to no avail. Some seeds last longer than others, but are potentially viable for several months to several hundred years after creation.
