Although propane tanks already have a long average life span, keeping propane tanks warmer would actually increase shelf life. This is because cool tanks make the propane take longer until it can heat up. The propane tank would then be unable to quickly supply sufficient gas to the heater leading to inefficient operation. So don’t keep the tank too cool, or too hot, but room temperature should be acceptable, or “outside” room temperature.
