Yes. In fact, it’s quite common for thunderstorms to drop hail, since thunderclouds are so tall that they push rain high up into the atmosphere in their updrafts, causing the rain to freeze into hail. When the ice gets big enough, the updraft can no longer keep it from falling, and it hails.
