Can I waterproof a fleece jacket?

You shouldn’t need to. Even though fleece isn’t waterproof, it is hydrophobic, meaning that it doesn’t readily absorb water. Fleece can’t absorb more than 1% of its own weight in water, and it doesn’t lose its insulative properties when wet.
