Turning off the power on the hot tub without draining it can cause the metal parts to corrode. It can also cause algae to build up, since the hot tub won’t be running its filtering cycles to clean and heat the water. If you do decide to turn your hot tub off, make sure to switch the heat off first, siphon the water out, and put a tarp over it.
