It’s best to check with your local waste management service before trying to recycle them. If they compost paper plates with food, you can recycle them without even needing to clean them off (though you should remove bones before recycling).
While most recycling centers frown on food waste, you cna recycle used paper plates by putting them in your compost pile, as paper plates are almost universally biodegradable.
