No, it doesn’t look like you can. The only place that seems to accept cassette tapes is greendisk.com, but you would have to pay a small fee to ship the recyclables to them. They have different prices based on how heavy your package will be. All the media content is destroyed but all physical materials are disposed of “in an environmentally responsible manner.”
Alternatively, there are ways of reusing the tapes if they are still in decent condition. You can donate them to shelters or various care facilities that might find a use for them. You can also try advertising on Craigslist to see if others are interested in taking the tapes off your hands.
