Can I make a hydrogen fuel cell at my house?

Yes!  My boyfriend has made several out of a glass jar, two bolts, 45 washers, baking soda, water and plastic tubing.  He even installed one in his car (though that didn’t go so well).   There’s lots of instructional videos on youtube, lots of websites and lots of books.  Try searching for “Brow’s Gas” or “HHO generator.” A word of warning, though:  if you plan on puting one in your car, it’s easiest if it’s a car with a carbureted engine (most cars pre-1990).  O2 sensors in modern cars get confused when you change the gas mixture that’s coming out of your car, and this will actually make your car less efficient.  There are ways to fix this problem, it’s just more complicated.
