Can I grow orange trees from an orange?

You can definitely grow an orange tree from an organic orange. Organic oranges haven’t undergone any genetic modification, so their seeds are fertile, unlike some of those other oranges. Wrap an orange seed in a moist paper towel until it sprouts. Then put it in some soil and watch it grow until it is big enough to be put in the ground.

Yes, you can grow an orange tree from an orange. Save the seeds, wash them in barely warm water, plant 1/2 inch down in cups filled with soil (poke drainage holes in bottoms), water then cover with plastic wrap or lids. Check on them to make sure they stay moist until they’ve sprouted. Then remove lids and move them into a sunny, warm place.
