Can I get reflective windows without compromising the brightness?

If you are retrofitting your home windows with a reflecting window film, the light difference between a regular window and one with a reflecting film might be nearly imperceptible on a large window.  Reflective windows will always compromise brightness a little, but you might find you don’t notice or care — especially when you see your next energy bill. The idea behind reflective windows is a good one and, if you can find a brand you like, they are a great way to keep energy cooling costs down. Reflective windows in cars can keep inside heat down as well, and decrease the need for excessive air conditioning (which uses fuel more quickly). The California Air Resources Board was going to require that all new vehicles be built with sun-reflecting glass, but the mandate was recently reversed because of complaints that the glass might block cell or other electronic signals.
