Yes, you can freeze food in a plastic container. Try and make sure, however, that whatever food you freeze fills the entire plastic container. The reasoning for this is that you want to prevent the freezer burn that can result from excess air in a plastic container. It is also recommended to freeze smaller quantities of food in smaller containers because it freezes quicker and will taste fresher.

You can. I personally would recommend the ziploc containers that twist shut. This helps to ensure it won’t spill and that it will be air-tight.
