It is possible, but it will take lots of years and time for that to happen. Everyone needs to be completely sustainable in order for them to see the environment change. Climate change can be prevented if we take the time to educate ourselves on the harmful effects of our choices with the environment. Gaining knowledge is a sure way to change our choices to become a more greener one.
While it would be extremely difficult to put a stop to climate change, there are several ways in which everyone could work independently to reduce their own carbon footprint – and if everyone works collectively, climate change could someday be substantially reduced. For instance, by replacing one incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb, 150 pounds of carbon dioxide could be saved each year. You can also turn off electric appliances when not in use and drive less to reduce energy and emissions. Also, use less hot water, heat, and air conditioning. And always remember – reduce, reuse, and recycle!
