Can grass be used to make paper?

    Yes, it is very simple!
    1) Cut grass
    2) Crush the grass…a lot
    3) add 50ml of 2.5L Caustic Soda (NaOH)
    4) Filter/Wash
    5) Add 50 ml bleach
    6) Heat
    7) Wash again!
    8) Set

    Paper is made from cellulose which is derived from grass, wood or rags. So we can definitely use grass to make paper.

    Yup. It’s a great way to recycle your grass clippings. The tutorial linked below shows you how. Essentially, you boil the clippings with baking soda then blend the mixture to make paper pulp.

    Grass can definitely be used to make paper. Bamboo, for instance, is a type of grass and people use it for paper often. You can also make your own grass paper. All you need is grass clippings and washing soda. You blnd it together until its smooth and then pour it into a mold made from a picture frame.
