Yes they can! Golden rain trees are very versatile and can withstand climates with harsh heat and city pollution pretty well. They provide great shade for the summer and are often used as a street or park tree. However, keep in mind in warmer climates their seeds are “produced in greater quantities and can become invasive”. They’re beautiful trees nonetheless and you will often see them in the south, especially Florida.
