Can global warming trigger cold weather?

As with every aspect of the global warming debate, there is disagreement on both sides of this issues.  However, scientists who do believe that cold weather is caused by global warming, believe that climate change is making the weather fundamentally unpredictable.  The argument in support of this theory is based on the notion that warmer weather causes more water evaporation, therefore causing more precipitation.  In winter months, they believe this manifests itself in colder temperatures with increased snowfall.  Proponents of this theory believe that supercold winters may be the norm for the future.
