Not anytime soon. Even if we stopped increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air today, global temperatures would still continue to rise. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has calculated several scenarios on what future global temperatures will be like, and none of them are pretty. The IPCC is the most trustworthy source of information about global warming because its reports are compiled and reviewed by multiple scientists around the world before they are published.
As happyhodges has said, it is not likely that global warming can be reversed anytime soon. However, global warming is on ongoing problem that humans can help to reduce. Greenhouse gas emissions are a leading cause of climate change and the rise in temperatures. Some of the ways in which greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced include, but are not limited to, reducing, reusing, and recycling solid waste like paper and plastic, changing light bulbs, and properly inflating automobile tires. It is also helpful to use less water, heat, and air conditioning. There are many ways in which society can help to improve the environment, and while global warming cannot be completely reversed, it could be reduced.
