This is a question that is being highly debated currently. Some people think that the amounts of farmland and manure needed for fertilizer in organic farming could not be sustainable for the high demands called for by the world’s growing population.
However, a study completed by the Sustainable Agriculture Farming Systems project at UC Davis found that crops harvested and grown organically had yields at least comparable to those grown under conventional farming methods.
