Energy drinks haven’t been officially linked to diabetes, but there is research that they can increase your chance of having diabetes. They contain massive amounts of sugar and caffeine, and large amounts of caffeine can worsen insulin sensitivity, which is a known cause of diabetes. Large amounts of sugar has been linked to diabetes as well, so data certainly points to energy drinks possibly leading to diabetes.
