Can damage to the ozone layer be repaired?

Yes. The ozone layer actually repairs itself.  Ozone is created naturally in the atmosphere out of regular O2 molecules and energy from the sun.  However, the creation of ozone requires too much energy for humans to recreate the process ourselves.  All we can do is cut down on activities that deplete the ozone and wait.

Yes, damage to the ozone layer can be repaired. The oxygen molcules that attach to the ozone are always making a constant effort to repair themselves over periods of time. The sad news though is that ozone repair happens at a very slow pace and the ozone layer is being destroyed at a far faster rate than the oxygen molecule can regenerate itself (The Ohio University, 2008).
