No; this is a myth. Although cracking knuckles can lead to pain in the fingers or joints, there is no connection to it causing arthritis.
Studies done on whether there is a connection between cracking one’s knuckles and arthritis have found no data suggesting a connection between the two. However, researchers have found a connection between knuckle cracking and low grip strength. In addition, studies have found that knuckle cracking can be related to hand swelling as well.
