Depends on how you define clean. If “clean” is defined as a way in which we reduce the air pollutants that coal produces genrally, then yes, we can. However, if you define clean as pollutant free, than no, there is not a way that coal can be used for clean energy. Coal is a fossil fuel, and an unclean burning one at that, which has many by-products and emissions that come from it’s processing into energy. We will never fully take away the pollutant aspect of coal processing, but we can help to reduce it.
