Yes, of course. Clothes originally were made out of animal skins and fur. Wool was very popular before the discovery of cotton. Today a great deal of cloths are made out of synthetic materials as well. Unfortunately most of these synthetic materials are made out of petrochemicals or oil based products, so they actually encourage our dependence of fossil fuels. Plants are the most sustainable source of clothing material that we have today. Hemp and Bamboo are very good renewable sources that can be used in everything from bags to bed sheets.
