Can China use the great wall of China for carbon credits?

Ummm, you may have to clarify your thought process via comment on this one. Most carbon credit offerings involve trees/plants/some other carbon-fixing alternative, etc., whereas the Great Wall is just that, a built structure. With this line of thinking, we could use skyscrapers, or coal plants, or anything really, to offset carbon, which would essentially lead to a false hope that actually increases greenhouse gas emissions as opposed to reducing them.
