Theoretically, yes. Electric cars require electricity in order to charge their batteries. While they do not contribute to pollution in the form of exhaust emissions, they do contribute to “focal point” pollution, i.e., the pollution generated by the power plant in order to charge the car. (Electricity does not come from magic.) Since hydrogen cars will not need to be charged, they will reduce both kinds of pollution.
