Can biofuel realistically replace gasoline?

In my opinion, no. Unless we find a way to grow enough without driving the costs of the foods we use in the fuel through the roof, I just don’t think it’d be a realistic way to work things. As it is, we use so much energy making biofuel that it almost costs more to make it than it saves from using it, and we’d be short a lot of food product. So, all in all, I think we should look for a different way to go about this problem.
