If by “biodiesel car” you mean a vehicle with a diesel engine that can run on biodiesel fuel (most regular diesel engines can), then yes, biodiesel cars can go fast.
Still, there is some difference in performance between petroleum diesel fuel and biodiesel fuel, which changes based on the contents of the biodiesel (most are mixed 1:4, biodiesel to petroleum diesel). One study finds that biodiesel’s cetane index (i.e., how quickly the fuel ignites) compares favorably with regular diesel, and has better lubricating properties. However, the same study found that biodiesel does not do as well as petroleum diesel in extreme cold temperatures.
