There are many different types of arthritis.  Arthritis can be caused by your genes, bye age, by obesity, and also by bacteria.  Any arthritis that is caused by a bacterial infection is called infectious arthritis.  It is often caused by the Gonococcus bacterium, which is actually the bacteria that causes gonorrhea.  The bacteria can enter your bloodstream and enter other parts of the body. Staphylococcus, streptococcus, and pneumococcus bacteria can also cause infectious arthritis.
