Although there aren’t strict regulations on who can and can’t sell (no need to have a professional farming certification, etc), you can’t simply show up at a farmers market with a basket full of veggies and try to sell them. Before you can sell, you need to either speak with your local farmers market and talk to the Market Master (person in charge) or visit your City Hall. They probably won’t give you a spot if you’re trying to sell something that is already being abundantly sold. You’ll need to gain approval, and different markets and municipalities have different rules and standards for farmers markets.
