Any type of wood can be grown sustainably, but only some of types of wood themselves are actually considered sustainable. One type is bamboo which grows very quickly so it’s easier to regenerate than wood from old-growth forests that has taken hundreds of years to grow. Wood can be grown sustainably if it’s given enough time to grow and isn’t clear-cut from where it grows, meaning all the trees in an area are cut at once.
