If it is not dirty or toxic it can be recycled. You can take clothes to Goodwill or Salvation Army, and any clothes unfit for retail will be shipped to “rag-sorters” whom separate large and small peices of cloth and resell them to fabric shops. Unusable garments are shipped overseas and turned into wiping/polishing cloths and are utilized in many different industries. Other textiles are shredded into fibers and may be used create new products, such as sound-deadening materials for the auto-industry, archival-quality paper, blankets and even plastic fencing!
