Can animals digestive systems break down bones and fur better than we can?

It depends on the animal. Animals have evolved to digest whatever their primary diet requires. So herbivores’ digestive tracts are completely ill suited for digesting meat, but carnivores would be more adept at this. Humans are omnivores which fall somewhere in between. Scavengers are particularly good at digesting bone marrow.
