Can all plants grow from clippings?

Plants grow from seeds. Seeds can be scattered a number of different ways, and grow best when they are taken a little ways away from where they were developed. Normally, seeds are carried away by the wind, animals, water, even people (think about when you walk through a field and you get a bunch of leaf pieces and plant gunk stuck to your pants). It is possible that plants could grow from clippings so long as the clippings carried a seed of some sort and the clippings were deposited somewhere with the right growth conditions (the right temperature, soil, moisture, sunlight).
