Not really. Soil is very complex and water is not the only component to healthy soil. In addition to the main nutrients needed for plant like, Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorous (NPK), there a whole host of other nutrients needed to make healthy soil including iron, copper, boron, zinc. etc. The soil also needs to have a stable pH, usually between 6.0 and 6.8, slightly acidic, in order to support healthy plant life. Don’t also forget the millions of microorganisms that are necessary to the health and fertility of soil.
