Absolutely. The pedal, originally designed to respond to road conditions, can now provide information to the driver on how well they are using power in the car. It tells the driver if they area ccelerating too fast or too hard, shifting gears inappropriately, etc. If the driver actually follows these guidelines, they can improve fuel efficiency by up to ten percent. More efficiency means less gas consumed, which means less carbon released!
