Bloom boxes are composed of several small ceramic plates, each of which produces enough energy to power a light bulb. So, if you string enough of them together, you could produce as much power as you want. Prensently, larger Bloom Boxes are being used to power buildings for corporations such as Google and Fed Ex.
The main obstacle to single home-sized Bloom Boxes is the cost. The company hopes that the price of a unit will soon be as low as $3,000, which would make them a realistic option for individual consumers.
